Frequently asked questions
- Is the analyzer free?
- Yes. The Trade Statement Analyzer is free to use in your browser. Very large files are better imported inside Tradeways.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can analyze a statement without signing up. An account is only needed for the full import workflow and ongoing journal.
- Which brokers are supported?
- Exports from MetaTrader 4 and 5, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, Sierra Chart, ATAS, Topstep, Tradezella, TradeTracer, and Edgewonk are supported today, with more added over time.
- Is my data uploaded anywhere?
- No. Your file is read and analyzed entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so your statement never leaves your device.
What the analyzer measures
The analyzer reconstructs closed trades from your executions using FIFO matching, resolves each instrument to price it in your account currency, and rolls the trades up into the same statistics Tradeways shows on its dashboards: net and gross P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average win and loss, maximum drawdown, commissions, win and loss streaks, and a cumulative equity curve. Futures use exchange contract specifications where they are known; instruments that cannot be priced fall back to the broker-reported figure or are set aside so a number is never invented. Multi-currency accounts are summed unconverted for the preview. Because everything runs client-side, the file never leaves your device — the analyzer is a live demo of the import and reporting that a Tradeways account keeps up to date for you.
A Tradeways journal keeps these statistics live: import once and every dashboard, streak, and equity curve updates as you trade.
